The short version

I build software that fits the way people actually work.

For four years I've led R&D for interventional radiology at Epic. I spend time with clinicians in procedure rooms, find where their workflows break down, and design the fixes that ship to health systems across the country. That work taught me what matters most in software: understanding how someone's day really runs before writing a line of code.

Before Epic, I worked as an optometric technician at a multi-location eye care practice, so I've seen from the inside how a small clinic runs and what its staff put up with.

Outside of work, I design and build my own products. I care about the craft: clean interfaces, reliable engineering, and details that hold up over time.

Outside of work

When I'm not at a keyboard, I'm usually in the workshop. I'm renovating a 1969 house in Madison, building furniture and built-ins along the way. I also cook, garden, and read a lot, mostly fantasy.
